An Introduction

Hello and welcome to my new blog,

     I was asked to create a blog for my English class, we are supposed to blog about something we are a fan of. I have chosen anime and manga. Before we really get into that though, I suppose an introduction is in order. I got into anime and manga four years ago; my brother had a friend who had gotten him into it. My first interaction with it took place though the first volume of Sgt. Frog, after reading it my only impression was that it was the most perverted thing I had ever read, but for some reason I liked it.

    From that point on the obsession grew, I began to read many stories though many genres, but I hadn’t even made a dent in all the manga and anime out there. I still haven’t, but if I’m going to blog about something, it’s going to be that. There will never be enough Manga or Anime in my life. When I get older I want to go to Japan just so I can be a Manga artist.

      To all of you unfamiliar with Manga, it is a type of comic, in a sense, a Japanese comic book. It is read from right to left and has a very distinct art style. Anime is normally an animated version of these comics, there is a rather high chance you have seen an anime yourself. Pokémon, Astro boy, my neighbor Totoro, and many more are among the more popular anime. Anime is in video games, advertisements, brands, and logos, just to name a few, its fan base grows and grows with its popularity.

    Now is the time that you ask how I plan to blog about such a large subject, a broad category. Well, you see I couldn’t pick just one anime or Manga; I couldn’t choose just one out of such a broad category. I change my interest so quickly that if tried to do just one, I would go off topic too much. There’s a 100% chance that at some point I will end up talking about video games or other such interest.

    I will admit now that I will not know everything about every anime or manga available, but I will try my hardest to keep this blog updated with all the information on the subject I can. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. I look forward to this and hope it goes well,
